Just like any other beauty procedure, there are a few things that you need to take care of
so your set of brows will have the best outcome!

Caring for your healing brows after your Microblading or Ombré Powder appointment is similar to regular tattoo care, but a bit more intensive.
Below is a timeline of what you can expect during your healing process:

DAY 1-3:

Brows will appear very dark, and surrounding skin may be red or inflamed. They will feel very tight, as if you just received Botox, and they will also feel itchy. DO NOT SCRATCH! If needed, take your index finger and place it an inch above your brow on your forehead and slowly rub in a circular motion, completely avoiding the brow.

DAY 4-7:

Your brows will begin to scab over. As tempting as it may be, let the scabs fall off naturally and do not pick, pull or rub at them. It is normal for your brows to look patchy during this stage of the healing process, and the pigment below the scabs that fall off may appear very light.

DAY 8-14:

Once all the scabs have fallen off, the pigment may appear to be very light, but this is normal.

DAY 15-30+:

The pigment will start to slowly come back and will reveal your final results. After 6-8 weeks, you can come in for a scheduled touch up where we can either darken the colour, fix the shape, etc.

1

After the procedure, gently blot the area with a clean tissue or cotton pad to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this as many times as needed throughout the day to prevent hardening of the lymphatic fluids.

2

The next day, gently clean your brows by dabbing them with a damp sponge, once in the morning and once at night. Pat dry with paper towel (do not use a regular towel as the microfibres can get into any open skin). The following days, you can include an antibacterial soap in your cleaning process, like Dial Soap, Cetaphil or CeraVe. Only use a grain-size amount of soap, and still blot the area. Never rub!

3

After cleansing, apply a grain-size amount of ointment with a clean Q-tip. A grain-size should be enough for both brows; a little goes a long way!

4

Repeat steps 2-4 until brows have finished scabbing and are fully healed. Once the scabs have fallen off, discontinue use of ointment.

Avoid getting the area wet for at least 10 days, or until there are no scabs left.

No anti-aging or acne products (anything with Retinol, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, etc.).

Avoid hot, steamy showers, saunas, hot tubs and swimming, as that may cause pores to open and scabs to soften.

Please consult a physician at the first sign of abnormal swelling or infection.

Avoid water, and especially shampoo and conditioner from running down your face, as this will cause discolouration.

Avoid exposure to sun/UV rays.

No excessive sweating, so avoid the gym and any strenuous activities until scabs have disappeared.

Once fully healed, apply SPF to your brows daily to retain pigment and prevent fading.

No makeup on brows until they are fully healed.

Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking, peeling or scratching can cause scarring or loss of colour.

Avoid sleeping on your face, and use fresh clean pillow cases.

NOTE: EVERYONE’S SKIN IS DIFFERENT, WHICH MEANS EVERYONE’S BROWS WILL HEAL AND REGAIN PIGMENT DIFFERENTLY. SOME PEOPLE DO REQUIRE A TOUCH UP TO PERFECT THEIR BROWS, BUT A TOUCH UP IS NOT ALWAYS NECESSARY FOR EVERYONE. YOUR INITIAL TOUCH UP MUST BE BOOKED WITHIN 6-8 WEEKS AFTER YOUR ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT IN ORDER FOR IT TO BE COMPLIMENTARY, AND IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BOOK. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL LAST MINUTE TO MAKE THIS APPOINTMENT, AS THERE MAY NOT BE ANY SPOTS LEFT CLOSER TO THE DATE. ANY TOUCH UPS BOOKED AFTER 8 WEEKS FROM YOUR ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT WILL HAVE AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE.

// FAILURE TO FOLLOW ALL STEPS MAY RESULT IN MORE PAIN, BLEEDING, AND POOR RETENTION.
